Due the meddling of the BC Lions and the rest of the CFL we were unfortunately pre-empted this week – and will be again next week for another pre-season game as well. Instead, we’ve got some classic Cynics action from deep in the vaults of our trying to become a TV show days. It’s our review of 12 Monkeys, and tucks in nicely with having just bought 12 Monkeys on Blu-ray for $12 the other day.
Steve and Brian dissect one of Terry Gilliam’s classic mindbending films. Terry Gilliam is armed with a major Hollywood budget and flanked by an extraordinary cast in this science fiction film that could be considered the greatest insane asylum time travel film of all time.
Wow – how old is that? I’d seen the images of you guys in that setting, but never one of the videos. Cool stuff and great movie.
If I’m not mistaken, this video was shot before my first kid was born, which makes it 3 years old. Can’t believe how much more hair I have in that video than I have now.

The more I see this film, the more I’m impressed by it. I love movies that are rich and complex, filled with different layers of reading. Good Review! Surely one of Gilliam’s best!
