The Jacket Review

For a movie about time travel to even advance past the first minute, it needs a story that takes a hold of the audience so tightly that they never have a chance to ask questions like “Wait, how did that-?” or “Wouldn’t that mean-?” The Jacket manages to engage the audience on several levels

I can’t front – I am genuinely impressed with this trailer and the direction this movie appears to be going in. I was just reflecting today on the total disaster and easy sell like Doom wound up being, and thinking that all this box-office envy has blinded movie studios to the point that they

Pineapple Express: Brian’s Take
Posted by: Brian, on August 16, 2008, at 5:22 pm
Its a rare occurrence when Steve gets to see a movie before I do. In fact, its one of the few things I can regularly hold over his head. Except this time. I only got around to seeing the new Judd Apatow produced flick a few days ago, days after Steve had seen it and posted about it.

Guilty Pleasures: Under Siege

As a former Film Studies student, I have had the good fortune to have been exposed to some of the greatest films the world has had to offer. I’ve seen Citizen Kane a few times, Touch of Evil, the Bicycle Thief, Mon Oncle Antoine. With my film degree comes a certain expectation of titles
