What did you guys think? I’m torn! Thor is the least interesting Avenger but as far as a Thor movie goes, this looks pretty damn cool. And the film looks like it was done well also. Totally forgot Portman was in it too… she’s so hot right now!
I am 100% on board. I was a mythology nerd long before I was a comic book nerd – so this kind of stuff tickles me just right. With Branagh directing and Portman holding it down on screen we’ve got sleeper hit on our hands. Plenty of opportunity for violence and scheming – plus Hopkins using his acting powers for good for a change. Steve out!
Funny, I was so intrigued by this one despite never reading the comics because Branagh is directing. But then I saw the first Comic Con trailer and was like, huh? This new one hasn’t sold me yet but who knows, maybe the following ones will. At least I’m still more excited for this than Green Hornet or Lantern.
Not interested in seeing what Michel Gondry is gonna pull off with Green Hornet?! It has the potential to serve as an excellent companion piece for Scott Pilgrim! But yes, this Thor thing is a bit of a pickle. I myself have always been a bit of a fan of the comic, and Kenneth Branagh has clearly got the skills to make a great film. Hemsworth was good in his very small capacity in Star Trek, and with Natalie Portman and Anthony Hopkins to back him up, there’s a lot to look forward to – I hope.
Green Lantern – the worst thing about it so far looks to be Blake Lively, at least according to the trailer. I’ve got some serious fandom invested in Green Lantern to though, so I’m an easy target.
