Serving up Food Inc. and Minding Your Manners at the Movies
Monday, November 2nd, 2009It’s the day after Hallowe’en, and whether people consider it a holiday or not, Steve and Brian both took the time out to watch some spooky movies in honour of the occasion – Brian revisited The Sixth Sense, while Steve introduced his wife to The Frighteners. The Film Cynics open the floor to discussions about TV, engaging about the vicariously invigorating Sons of Anarchy and heralding the arrival of the rejigged V coming to small screens this week. For their review of the week, Brian and Steve discuss Robert’s Kenner’s documentary Food Inc. that examines the perils of the American food system. Brian puts on his boxing gloves to duke it out about movie etiquette and welcomes a few calls while doing it. Finally Steve and Brian break out some classic scary movies from the Vault and recommend that you check out the trailers for Avatar and The Fantastic Mr. Fox.
